CHICAGO — Charles Edward Banks, formerly of Fitler, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, in Chicago. He was 58.

Mr. Banks is survived by three sons, Reginald Banks and Terrell Banks, both of Detroit, and Charles Marcell Banks of Chicago; one daughter, Yvette Banks of Detroit; three brothers, Jessie W. Banks of South Holland, Ill., Freddie Banks of Maywood, Ill., and James Banks of Chicago; three sisters, Maryon Banks of Chicago, Crystal Pope of Vicksburg and Reola Washington of Rolling Fork; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Ollie M.B. Church in Egremont with Willie Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
