PORT GIBSON — Vanessa Marshall died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 37.

Miss Marshall was a member of Forrest Grove Christian Church. She was employed at Ameristar Casino.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Nolan Marshall; and a sister, Lucy Sheppard.

She is survived by her parents, Alphonzo and Merlean Marshall of Port Gibson; a brother, Michael Marshall of Port Gibson; three sisters, Demetric Warnsley of Jackson, Loretha Marshall of Vicksburg and Faye Marshall of Port Gibson; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat M.B. Church with the Rev. Columbus Felton officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
