For the last 22 years, the club has been showing off muscle cars. Club secretary and car enthusiast Tony Brooks said most of the entries in the show at Blackburn Motor Co. will be pre-1972.

“1972 marked the end of the muscle-car era,” he said.

In addition to cars, the outdoor event will feature a concession stand, vendor area and door prizes.

Cars entered in the show will be judged by the audience, and awards will include People’s Choice, Sweet 16 and Promoter’s Pick. Club members are not allowed to enter their vehicles in the event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Haven House, a Vicksburg shelter.

“We are absolutely fortunate to have a tremendous amount of community support,” said Scottie Kiihnl, executive director of Haven House. “The Cruisers have adopted us as a yearly beneficiary.”

For nearly 25 years, Haven House has helped women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. Haven House will run a concession stand at the show.

Cars will be in the front parking lot of Blackburn, located on North Frontage Road, and guest parking will be available behind the dealership building and at the banks on either side.

“For the last three years, we have had bad weather,” Brooks said. “I’m hoping for some pretty weather on Saturday.”
