Rutherfords sparkle at VHS Invitational

Warren Central eighth-grader Parker Rutherford bogeyed his last two holes to shoot a 79, good for second place at Monday’s Vicksburg High Invitational. His sister, Peyton, shot a 46 over nine holes to tie for medalist honors with Madison Central’s Katie Dahmash in the girls’ tournament.

WC’s Dillon Bradley finished third in the individual standings, shooting a 79 to tie St. Aloysius’ Charles Marsalis. Madison Central’s Ian McAdams shot a 77 to finish the boys’ medalist.

Led by Marsalis, St. Al won the team competition with a total of 330. John Lindigrin shot an 80, Alex Lanier and 84, Chris Ingram an 87 and Elliot Bexley a 96. Madison Central was second, with a team total of 335, and W was third with a 339.
