Circuit Judge Frank Vollor presided over the session, which began and concluded Monday.

In its report, the grand jurors recommended that the county join a drug task force and provide additional funding for better training and equipment for gathering fingerprints and other forensic evidence more efficiently. The jurors also reported that the Sharkey County courthouse needs elevators, air conditioners and some ceiling repairs.

This was the second of three grand jury sessions scheduled in Sharkey County for 2009. The third term begins Aug. 24.

There were no sentencings or revocations in Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday.
