Charles R. Perrier died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at his home. He was 54.

Born in Corvallis, Ore., Mr. Perrier had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1975. He was a self-employed carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene R. Perrier.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Smith Perrier of Vicksburg; two sons, Michael Raymond Perrier and Elliot Pinkston Perrier, both of Vicksburg; a daughter, Charli Lorraine Perrier of Vicksburg; his mother, Janice Perrier of Vicksburg; a sister, Nanette M. Brown of Athens, Ga.; two brothers, Eugene A. Perrier and Jonathan H. Perrier, both of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Revs. Chris Young and Tommy Miller officiating. Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home Monday from 9 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Brown, Raymond Perrier, Austin Hoyle, Tim Smith, Kelly Powell, Jon Perrier, Brad Smith, Steve Smith and David Smith. Memorials may be made to the Vicksburg-Warren Humane Society, P.O. Box 820171, Vicksburg, MS, 39182, or to favorite charities.
