Mike and Judy Dickerson announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Victoria Dickerson of Vicksburg, to David Anthony Hanes also of Vicksburg. Mr. Hanes is the son of Russ and Mary Watson of Lafayette.

Miss Dickerson is the granddaughter of Bea Rocconi and the late A.V. Rocconi and Geraldine Dickerson and the late Elsou Ford Dickerson, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Hanes is the grandson of Gail Monk and the late J.D. Monk of Brandon and Rebecca Cooper of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the key club, sub debs and a cheerleader.

She received a degree in radiologic technology from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and was in Who’s Who.

Miss Dickerson is a radiologic technologist with MEA in Ridgeland.

Mr. Hanes is a 1991 graduate of Warren Central.

He delivers in the city for Capeld.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m. May 2, 2009, at Riverwalk Hotel in Vicksburg. A reception will follow. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
