Two public energy meetings Tuesday

Two open meetings to discuss energy issues are on tap for Tuesday.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will host a pair of sessions at the Vicksburg Convention Center to discuss Free Flow Power Development Company’s application to license plans to build electricity-generating turbines on the Mississippi River.
The meetings are planned for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
In Port Gibson, staff with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will discuss the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station’s safety performance assessment for 2008.
Results of the assessment and the NRC’s range of activities will be presented at 6 p.m. at Port Gibson City Hall.
Questions and comments from the public will be addressed at each meeting.
