Joe Harris won the Division 4-5A shot put title with a throw of 46 feet, 9 1/2 inches. Chase Lungrin and Eric Williston tied for third place in the pole vault. Tim Jones finished third in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump. Jarrell Pedyfoot finished third in the discus. Antonio Coleman was fourth in the 100-meter dash. Deandrea Smith was third in the 400-meter dash. Mykey Gibson was fifth in the 1,600-meter run. The 400-meter relay team of Dearius Blanton, Pat Taylor, Jones and Coleman; the 800-meter team of Walter King, Taylor, Blanton, Coleman and Derome Hopkins; and the 1,600-meter team of Jones, Gibson, Smith, King and Sean Midence all qualifed for the regional track meet at Madison Central on April 25.
