Luther Selvy Sr. died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Promise Hospital. He was 78.

Mr. Selvy was a member of Brookhaven M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Selvy and Minnie Lacey Wilson; a daughter, Rosie Shelby; two sisters, Alfreda McDonald and Agazine Dyer; and one brother, T.J. Wilson.
