Vicksburg man at UMC after one-vehicle wreck
A Vicksburg man was in serious condition this morning at University Medical Center after being airlifted to the Jackson hospital Tuesday night, said UMC spokesman Bruce Coleman.
James McGee, 74, 8909 Halls Ferry Road, was traveling south on Halls Ferry Road in his 2000 Ford pickup when his vehicle ran off the road near Nine Mile Cutoff and the vehicle flipped after McGee apparently overcompensated, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.
McGee was taken to River Region Medical Center and transferred, said Pace.
Neither speed nor alcohol is believed to have played a part in the one-vehicle wreck, Pace said.
