Two suspects in the string of smash-and-grab store burglaries in the past month have been identified by the Vicksburg Police Department.

Derrick Williams, 30, 902 Blossom Lane, and Jeremy Mazie, 20, 213 Moonmist Drive, are sought in burglaries of Dollar General, 4000 U.S. 61 South; Jubilee Smoke Break, 4749 U.S. 61 South; Port Mart Texaco, 1775 N. Washington St.; Zips, 887 U.S. 61 North; BP gas station, 3595 U.S. 61 South; Chevron gas station, 4306 Halls Ferry Road; and burglaries reported March 21 and April 9 at Honeyz, Scentz & Fashionz, 3427 Halls Ferry Road, said Lt. Bobby Stewart.

Stewart said this morning that investigators estimate more than 100 cartons of cigarettes, 13 cases of beer, cash registers and nearly $4,000 in merchandise are missing in the business burglaries reported in the city within the last month by the two suspects.

The two have not been named as suspects in three similar convenience store burglaries in the county, Sheriff Martin Pace said this morning.

In the city, Mazie also is wanted in a statutory rape charge in Vicksburg in October, said Stewart.

Separately, Williams is wanted in an armed robbery on April 3 at Occasions Wine and Spirits, 989 U.S. 61 North, Stewart said.

Another suspect in the liquor store robbery, Trent Reynolds, 25, 1501 1/2 Lane St., was arrested at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday and charged with armed robbery, said Stewart. Reynolds was already in jail on a misdemeanor charge when he was booked with the robbery charge, said Stewart. He remained in the Warren County Jail this morning without bond.

Vickburg police are urging people with information of Williams’ and Mazie’s whereabouts to contact VPD at 601-636-2511.
