YAZOO CITY  — Mattie A. Jenkins died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at King’s Daughters Hospital. She was 66.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Fulton Alderman and Sibbie Pierce.

Survivors include her husband, Lamar Jenkins Sr. of Yazoo City; two sons, Lamar Jenkins Jr. of Greenwood and David Jenkins of Clinton; a daughter, Robbie Bush of Prentiss, Miss.; two sisters, Pat Watson of Mobile, Ala., and Cleo Jennings of Yazoo City; five grandchildren, Karla Cook, Jillian Bush, Ben Jenkins, Dylan Jenkins and Austin Jenkins; and one great-grandchild, Emily Cook.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City. Burial will follow at Benton Baptist Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be from 5 until 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.
