OAKLAWN, Ill. — Norwood Redmon died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Christ Medical Center in Oaklawn, Ill. He was 68.

Mr. Redmon was a member and usher at Rising Sun M.B. Church.

Survivors include two sons, Pete Bryant of Elkhart, Ind. and Evan Norwood Redmon of Port Gibson; a daughter, Linda Hughes of Vicksburg; three brothers, Glendale Redmon of Chicago and Roger Redmon and Bernard Redmon, both of Elkhart; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rising Sun M.B. in Port Gibson with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Christian Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from noon Saturday until the service at the church.
