Success at VHS event

Published 12:00 am Saturday, April 25, 2009

I would like to thank MADD, Girl Scouts, Project Image, Juice Plus, Fitness Works, Shape Up Sisters, the Vicksburg Police Department, the Vicksburg Fire Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Martin Pace, Waste Management and Brown Bottling Group and many of the local  businesses for helping The Vicksburg Spring Festival in its success this year.

Thank you Coach Stevens for the use of the football field and I would also like to thank the Pride Band Parent Organization and the dedicated parents and students. This is a major event that takes many months of planning, a lot of dedicated parents, students and community.

Donors appreciated

Paws Rescue thanks everyone who stopped by our booth at Riverfest and met our newest rescues, Tater and Tot. Your donations enable us to provide help to animals in need. We especially thank the generous donor who sponsored an entire heartworm treatment. Your help means so much to our work and to the dog that desperately needs treatment.

We are always amazed by the community’s support for homeless animals in need and sincerely thank everyone in Vicksburg and Warren County for believing in our mission to end the homeless pet problem in our area. With your support, we are meeting our goal of providing homeless animals a second chance at happiness, one pet at a time.
