McCaig, Johnston to recite vows

Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Lee McCaig Jr. of Tallassee, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Victoria Lynn, to Dr. Bryan Irby Johnston. Mr. Johnston is the son of Dr. Walter Easterling Johnston Jr. and the late Maxine Irby Johnston of Vicksburg.

Miss McCaig is the granddaughter of Mrs. Delmar Lee McCaig Sr. of Tallassee and the late Mr. McCaig and Mrs. James Russell Davidson of Hueytown, Ala., and the late James Hoyt Dawson.

Dr. Johnston is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McGriff Irby Jr. and the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter Easterling Johnston Sr., all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Tallassee High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and finance from Birmingham-Southern College, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

Miss McCaig is a pharmaceutical sales representative with Novo Nordisk in Birmingham.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Vicksburg High School. He graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Dr. Johnston received a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and is completing his residency in diagnostic radiology at Baptist Health System in Birmingham.

The wedding will be Aug. 1, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in Tallassee.
