A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning for molestation of a minor.

Michael Thomas, 21, 102 Elm Lane, was arrested at 9:23 a.m. on a felony warrant during a traffic stop at Indiana Avenue and Frontage Road and was charged with molestation of a minor, said Sgt. Sandra Williams.

A family member filed charges against Thomas, who was being held on a $5,000 bond.

Vehicle arson reported on Military

A vehicle arson was reported at 1:17 this morning at a home in the 1500 block of Military Avenue.

The owner of a 2000 Ford Mustang reported his vehicle engulfed in flames, and the Vicksburg Fire Department responded, said Sgt. Williams.

2 auto burglaries reported on Cherry

Two auto burglaries were reported early this morning at Vicksburg Convalescent Home, 1708 Cherry St.

Damages to a 1995 Dodge Neon were reported at 5:26 and a Coach purse containing $8 and personal items were reported missing at 5:27 from a 1997 Buick LaSabre.
