Raymond Booze Sr. died Monday, April 27, 2009, at his home. He was 69.

Mr. Booze was a retired heavy-equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his father Sam Boose Jr. ; his mother, Luetisha Davis-Tillman; two brothers, Elisha Tillman Jr. and Roy Tillman; and a grandson, Derrick L. Slater.

Survivors include his wife, Herdcine Williams-Booze of Vicksburg; six sons, William Slater Sr. and Ronnie Brooks, both of San Diego, Raymond Booze Jr. of Atlanta, and Freddie Williams, Kenny Wayne Richards and Xavier Richards, all of Vicksburg; a daughter, Sandra D. Brooks of Vicksburg; three brothers, Howard Davis, Jack Dempsey Tillman and Sheldon Tillman, all of Saginaw, Mich.; a sister, Delphine Tillman-Martin of Saginaw; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, including Mary Barnes of Vicksburg and the Clark, Richardson, Davis, Foster, Lacey, Miller and Smith families.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
