PORT GIBSON — Hazel Jones Claiborne died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Patient’s Choice Medical Center. She was 69.

Ms. Jones was a retired school teacher and a member of Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Marie Walker-Jones.

Survivors include her father, Abraham Jones of Tillman, Miss.; a brother, Jerry Warfield of Jackson; four sisters, Inez Chatman of Port Gibson, Patricia Claiborne of Chicago, Sandra Porter of Manassa, Va., and Delores Diane Hubbard of Tillman; five uncles;  two aunts; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Christian Church in Pattison with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Christian Walker Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. Friday at Rollins Funeral Home in Port Gibson.
