National Day of Prayer will be observed Thursday from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. at 10 locations in Vicksburg and others across the nation.

In Vicksburg, the outdoor sites are Pemberton Plaza, Marcus Bottom, City Hall, Vicksburg District Corps of Engineers, Mat Sinking Unit, Riverfront Park and the Old Court House Museum. Indoor sites are Vicksburg Convalescent Home, Heritage House and Highland Baptist Church.

This year’s theme is Prayer — America’s Hope!

Event chairman Dr. Willie Nettle of Bypass Church of Christ on U.S. 61 North said the program will go on rain or shine.
