Jackson man jailed in theft of automobile

A Jackson man was in the Issaquena County Jail this morning for an auto theft at Wal-Mart SuperCenter in Vicksburg.
Dexter Miles, 42, 1244 Gallatin St., was arrested at noon in Concordia Parish by the sheriff’s office during a traffic stop, said Lt. Bobby Stewart.
After an identity check on the national database, Miles was found to have an arrest warrant for the auto theft of an Oldsmobile Alero reported missing on April 10 and then recovered the same morning in Clinton on Interstate-20, said Stewart.
He was held without bond.
City man charged with felony eluding
A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning for eluding officers.
Anthony Crayton, 39, 1204 Howard St., was arrested at 12:55 Tuesday by Mississippi Highway Patrol and charged with felony eluding, jail records said.
He was held without bond.
Trailer, radios, jewelry among missing items
A theft of an 8-by-16-foot utility trailer valued at $2,500 was reported at 12:53 p.m. Tuesday from a yard at Hill City Oil in the 500 block of Port Terminal Circle at the Vicksburg Harbor.
Separately, three auto burglaries were reported at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday at Falco Lime, 1543 Haining Road.
Two Cobra CB radios valued at $600 and a Galaxy CB radio valued at $350 were reported missing from three different semi-trucks belonging to Falco Lime.
More than $5,000 in jewelry was reported missing from a home in the 400 block of Lake Forest Drive Tuesday.
Reported missing at 2:11 p.m. were two Seiko ladies’ watches, two rings, two pairs of earrings, assorted jewelry and prescription drugs.
Two dogs were reported missing at 12:04 p.m. Tuesday from the yard of a home in the 400 block of Savage Road.
A white male pit-bull puppy with a brown patch on his left eye valued at $250 and a white female puppy with brown patches on both eyes valued at $250 were missing.
