Miss Pugh, Mr. Rees to recite vows June 20

James and Rita Pugh of Caledonia announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Jean, to Philip Andrew Rees. Mr. Rees is the son of J.D. and Robin Rees of Vicksburg and Charlene Rees of Jackson.

Miss Pugh is the granddaughter of the late Mae and Frank Pugh of Columbus and Catherine Honnoll and the late Paul Honnoll of Caledonia.

Mr. Rees is the grandson of the late Claude Rees and Pearl Nevels of Eagle Lake and Chuck Staggs and the late Juanita Staggs of Texarkana.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Caledonia High School, where she was a member of the fast pitch, soccer, volleyball and basketball teams, color guard and band, serving as drum major.

She attended Hinds Community College, where she was a member of the BSU, band and color guard.

Miss Pugh is a dispatcher for Vicksburg-Warren County 911a

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Cañon City High School, where he played football. He attended Hinds Community College, where he was a member of the BSU.

Mr. Rees is a sergeant in the U.S. Army and is employed with the Vicksburg Police Department.

The wedding will be at 2 p.m. June 20, 2009, at The Magnolias in Aberdeen. A reception will follow.
