Mary Lee Head died Monday, May 18, 2009, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 83.

Born in Warren County, Mrs. Head was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Head; three sisters, Rhody B. Dolly, Celeste Johnson and Melvina Harris; and her parents, Will and Sallie Kemper Head.

Survivors include five sons, James Percy and Arthur Head, both of Vicksburg, Willie Percy and Walter Percy, both of Jackson, and Robert Head of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three daughters, Bertha Butler and Annie Percy Clavelle, both of Vicksburg, and Lillie Percy of Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Lubertha Harris of Milwaukee, Wis.; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
