Robbery reported at local store

A robbery at Morgan’s Shell on Mississippi 27 was reported early Saturday morning, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.
The clerk reported that after she opened the store at 5 a.m., two men assaulted her and took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot, Pace said.
Deputies searched the area without finding a suspect, he added.
The clerk was taken to River Region Medical Center where she was treated and released.
Port Gibson man in jail waiting transfer
A Port Gibson man was in the Warren County Jail Sunday awaiting transfer to the Delta, La., marshall’s office, jail records said.
Kacy Barnes, 24, 4008 Y-Camp Road, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. on charges of speeding, possession of marijuana and aggravated flight.
He was being held without bond pending pickup by Delta authorities.
Wreck on bridge sends man to hospital
A late-evening wreck on the Louisiana side of the I-20 bridge sent one man to the emergency room Saturday.
Eddie Ford, age and address unavailable, was driving with three other men in the vehicle when he appeared to lose control, overcorrect and hit a concrete barrier, Delta police said.
Possible charges were pending against the driver, said investigating officer David Beckham.
Ford was taken to River Region Medical Center where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
No injuries to passengers were reported.
