A Vicksburg man was shot in the ankle after an argument Wednesday night, and police have issued a warrant for the man witnesses said had the gun.

Travis Stewart, 29, Eastview Apartments, 1900 Baldwin Ferry Road, was taken to River Region Medical Center, Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams said, but hospital spokesmen did not return calls for a report on his condition.

A warrant was issued for Jarrod Lee, 24, 1710 Bodley St., who witnesses said shot Stewart outside Stewart’s apartment at 7:37 p.m., Williams said.
