NEWELLTON — Iley C. Gaar died Wednesday, May 27, 2009.  He was 88.

Mr. Gaar was born in Sikes, La., and was a resident of Newellton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Hart Gaar.

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Lyles of Newellton and Linda Colvin of West Monroe; and one son, Russell C. Gaar of Plaquemine, La.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton with the Rev. Larry Foster officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
