Curtis Hardesty Odom

Curtis Hardesty Odom died at his home Sunday, May 31, 2009. He was 80.

Mr. Odom was a native of Arkansas who had lived in Delta, La., for 45 years. He was the son of the late Mary Angelia Hardesty and William Edgar Odom.

Mr. Odom worked as a mechanic for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 45 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Glethern Hardesty Odom of Michigan City, Ind.; a daughter, Regina Darling of Austin, Texas; two sons, Danny C. Odom Sr. of Delta and Bruce Odom of St. Francisville, La.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church with burial at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with Rosary at 8.

Pallbearers will be Bryant Darling, Danny Odom, Jason Odom, Zane Kellicut, Josh Lawrence, Jamie Sharples and Brandon Deweese.

Honorary pallbearer will be Lloyd Hattaway.
