Charles Woodrow Templeton

Charles Woodrow Templeton died Monday, June 8, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 93.

Born in Claiborne County, Mr. Templeton had lived in Vicksburg for more than 40 years. He retired from Westinghouse Corp. as a line set-up man. A hunter and fisherman, he was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Rosa Belle Templeton; and a sister, Carolyn Barker.

Survivors include his wife, Dora C. Templeton of Vicksburg; a brother, Robert Templeton of Utica; and three sisters, Catherine Price of Vicksburg, Velma Johnston of Virginia Beach, Va., and Agnes Hales of Ferriday, La.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Green Acres Memorial Park with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Thursday until the service.
