Indians draft Ole Miss’ Jordan Henry

Former Vicksburg High standout Jordan Henry was taken in the seventh round by the Cleveland Indians this morning. The junior hit .343 with a school record 38 stolen bases this season.
His older brother, Justin, also an Ole Miss and Vicksburg High product, was selected in the 9th round in 2007 by the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers and Indians are in the same American League Division.
Other Rebels drafted on Wednesday were pitchers Scott Bittle (4th round by St. Louis) and Nation Baker (5th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates).
