Robert Walker Sr.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Robert “Bob” Walker Sr. died Friday, June 12, 2009, at his home in Panama City, Fla. He was 67.

Mr. Walker was a native of Collinsville, Miss., and had lived and worked as a carpenter in Panama City Beach for the past 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Legette Walker and Clara Bell Walker; his brother, Wallace Walker; and a sister, Joyce Duett.

He is survived by two sons, Robert S. Walker Jr. and Lee Walker, both of Vicksburg; his brother, Ken Walker of Panama City Beach; three sisters, Charlotte Byrd and Diane Warnock, both of Vicksburg, and Carolyn Calvert of Huntsville, Ala.; two grandchildren; and his life partner, Mary Miller of Panama City.

A visitation and memorial service will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bowmar Baptist Church in Vicksburg. A private burial will be Saturday at the family cemetery in Collinsville.
