Culkin Water meeting will detail changes

A public hearing is set for 4 p.m. Thursday at Culkin Water District offices to discuss system improvements in the independent water system.
Topics of discussion will include upgrades to the water distribution system such as a 12-inch water transmission main to Bovina and costs of the facilities, estimated average user charges and environmental impacts. The hearing is held in accordance with Drinking Water Systems Improvement Revolving Loan Fund program regulations.
Those interested in the plans are invited to express their views. The district, based mainly in the northeastern part of Warren County, serves about 4,250 customers.
