Devin Britton’s run at Junior Wimbledon came to an end this morning, but he didn’t go quietly.

The match included 309 points — 169 of them in a third set that lasted 84 minutes. Britton won the first two games of the final set, fell behind 5-3, then rallied to tie it at 5-5. Britton and Cox both held serve until Cox finally won it in the 30th game of the set. Britton faced seven break points in the marathon set, and lost two.

Britton and Cox were to return to the court later today for a doubles quarterfinal against the French tandem of Julien Obry and Adrien Puget.
