Eddie Dean Humphries died Friday, July 3, 2009, at River Region Medical Center as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was 58.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Humphries was a Vietnam veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Diana V. Humphries of Vicksburg; one son, William Benis Humphries of Iraq; five daughters, Mandy Miller of Georgetown and Kasey Humphries, Amy Humphries, Cindy Humphries and Christy Humphries; a brother, Charles Humphries of Vicksburg; three sisters, Evonne Stansel and Patricia Beard, both of Vicksburg, and Jeanette McCurley of Winnsboro, La.; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
