Edward F. McBee

Edward F. McBee died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 81.

Born in Lonoke, Ark., he had been a resident of Warren County most of his life. He was the son of the late Emmit McBee and Priscilla Eddington McBee.

Mr. McBee owned and operated Delta Glass and Mirror Company in Yazoo City prior to his retirement in 1995. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Mr. McBee was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pauline H. McBee of Vicksburg; his daughter, Brenda M. Blanchard of Jackson; two granddaughters, Michelle Emrick and her husband, Bert, and Catherine Beasley and her husband, Patrick, all of Madison; two great-grandchildren, Aaron Emrick and Kylie Emrick; and his sister, Mrs. Betty Fortner of Dalton, Ga.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud McBee and Kenneth McBee; and a sister, Wyema “Sis” Mahon.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harry Hawkins, pastor of Bradley’s Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of the service.  Pallbearers will be Patrick Beasley, David McBee, Johnny Oldenberg, Eddie King, Bert Emrick and Gordon Watkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny King, Tom Jones, J.W. Redditt and Doug Geter.
