Elizabeth Oakes Ferguson, a Vicksburg native, will celebrate her 100th birthday Friday. She was born Martha Elizabeth Oakes in 1909 to G.W. and Martha Oakes and was married to the late Emmett L. Ferguson of Vicksburg. They resided here for a number of years before relocating to Houston, Texas.
