Mr. McGahey marries Miss Schaffer May 9

Adam Thomas McGahey and Jennifer Jean Schaffer were married at 5 p.m. May 9, 2009, at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.

The bride is the daughter of Melanie McNeil and Robert Schaffer, both of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Cason and Frances Schaffer and the late William and Bettie Middleton, all of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Thomas McGahey of Brandon and the late Aerial Mims. He is the grandson of Elizabet and Sam McGahey of Clinton.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride’s chosen colors were sage and candy-apple red.

Nuptial selections were provided by Ted Holman.

Maid of honor was Sarah Rust of Vicksburg. Matron of honor was Jessica Rust Janotta of Vicksburg. Bridesmaid was Mariette Fortenberry of Memphis.

The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Mims and James Collette of Ridgeland.

Ushers were Christopher Jennings of Ridgeland and Justin Janotta of Vicksburg.

Flower girls were Skyler Jordan and Kayla Jordan, both of Vicksburg, and Sara McGahey of Brandon. Ring bearer was Dylan Edward Lick of Vicksburg.

The couple was honored with a reception at the home of Sherry Altman.

The bride is employed at The Vicksburg Post.
