A Vicksburg man involved in a wreck that injured a 19-year-old motorcyclist on Nailor Road Feb. 25 pleaded guilty Monday to aggravated driving under the influence causing bodily injury, an enhanced charge from DUI, which is normally a misdemeanor.
Steven L. White, 46, 112 Tower Drive, will be sentenced July 24 by Warren County Circuit Court Judge M. James Chaney.
White was scheduled for a jury trial when he made the decision to enter the plea. He faces a minimum of a five-year suspended sentence up to 25 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, said District Attorney Ricky Smith.
White was driving a 1999 Volkswagen Passat on Nailor Road, when he began a left turn onto Tower Drive into the path of Heather Smith, 12 1/2 Eager St., Clinton, driving a motorcycle, which hit the Passat.
Smith was treated initially at River Region Medical Center but transferred to University Medical Center with multiple injuries.
