Deloris G. “Doe” Walker died Monday, July 13, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 79.

A homemaker, Mrs. Walker was born in Warren County and was a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Walker Sr.; and her parents, Earnest Christmas and Edna London.

She is survived by two sons, Leon Walker of Vicksburg and Aaron Walker Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; five daughters, Vera L. Walker, Janice Walker and Janelle W. Williams, all of Vicksburg, Barbara W. Varnell of Jackson and Shirley Davis of Chicago; one brother, Fred Ruffin of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Vera Parson, Edna Brown and Mildred King, all of Chicago; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with Clarence Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
