STAFFORD, Texas — John Henry Simmons passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at his home in Stafford, Texas. He was 70 years old.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Blossie Simmons; and his son, Sam Simmons.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; sons, Jay and Ray; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbye and J.M. Stanley; and four grandchildren.
