JONESBORO, La. — Mrs. Sidney Johns of Jonesboro, was born on Sept. 11, 1938, in Weston, La. Mrs. Johns passed away July 21, 2009, in Jonesboro at the age of 70. Visitation was held on Wednesday at Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Services were today at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial followed at Zion Rest Cemetery in Jonesboro.

She is survived by her husband, John Paul Johns Sr. of Jonesboro; one daughter, Lisa Annette Evans and husband Kevin of Jonesboro; three sons, John Paul Johns Jr. and wife Rita, Tommy Webb Johns and wife Debra and Donald Warren Johns and wife Barbara, all of Jonesboro; three sisters, Kay White and husband Charles and Lorraine Davenport, all of Vicksburg, and Sally Ann Thomas and husband Billy of Houston; three brothers, John W. Jones and wife Judy, Charlie Jones and wife Debbie, all of Vicksburg, and Robert Jones and wife Gayle of Prairieville, La.; one sister-in-law, Lynn Jones of Vicksburg; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Johns was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Katie Jones; and two brothers, George Samuel and Dudley Lynn Jones.
