Sara Katherine McDaniel, 11, qualified for and participated in the 4-H regional competition in Little Rock, Ark., after winning the Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure competitions at the 4-H District Horse Show in Canton and receiving the following awards at the 4-H State Horse Show: first place in Hunter Under Saddle, third place in both Hunt Seat Equitation and Western Pleasure; and fourth place in Dressage. She and her horse, A Sound Excoos “Rolex,” have also been awarded a Register of Merit through the American Quarter Horse Association.
