Drug charge, probation violation land two in jail

Two Vicksburg men were in the Warren County Jail without bond Friday night on separate charges from separate arrests, said the jail docket.

George Baker, 32, 2115 Jeanette St., was jailed on charges of sale of cocaine and possession of cocaine.

Shannon Smith, 24, 1519 South St., was being held on a probation violation charge.

Tools, games missing in city

Items were reported stolen in the city Thursday, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

A Craftsman tool box and tools valued at $1,000 were missing from a 1998 Chevrolet pickup at Bazinsky and South Frontage roads.

A 22-inch Samsung TV valued at $400, a Playstation PSP valued at $200, a Nintendo DS Gameboy valued at $170, an XBox 360 video game console valued at $200 and video games valued at $150 were reported stolen from a home in the 600 block of Egan Street at 2:57 p.m.
