Robert and Synthia Stauts of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Lacey Nicole, to Steven Ryan Griffith. Mr. Griffith is the son of the late Glenn Griffith of Vicksburg and Phillip and Elaine Williams of Edwards.

Miss Stauts is the granddaughter of the late Henry and Bobbie Johnston and Bobby and Mildred Stauts, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Griffith is the grandson of the late H.B. and Inez Sanderson of Redwood and Exo and Dodie Griffith of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Beta Club and Big Blue Band flag line.

She received an Associate of Applied Science degree from Hinds Community College, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

Miss Stauts is a registered nurse in labor and delivery at River Region Medical Center.

The prospective groom is a 1995 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he was a member of JROTC, 4-H Club and the football team.

Mr. Griffith is a truck driver for Material Delivery Service of Vicksburg and a volunteer firefighter for the Culkin Volunteer Fire Department.

Vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. Sept. 19, 2009, at Immanuel Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
