Richland man charged with multiple crimes

A Richland man was charged with residential burglary and possession of stolen property while being arrested for misdemeanor defrauding an innkeeper at Riverwalk Casino Saturday, Vicksburg police officials said.
Kevin O’Brian Todd, 41, 117 Pearl Ave., is accused of taking 10 credit cards from a home in the 400 block of Lakewood Drive where he worked as a handyman, police investigator Johnnie Edwards said.
Patrolmen found Todd at the house while responding to an alarm at 9:57 a.m. He was released after a phone call with the out-of-town owner revealed that he was an employee, Edwards said.
Later that day, Todd was arrested for failure to pay for a room and food he obtained from the casino at 4:25 p.m., Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Patrolmen found the credit cards during a pat down and made a second call to the homeowner, who said Todd should not have been at the home at the time of the first call, officials said.
Todd was being held without bond at the Warren County Jail pending an initial court hearing.
Furniture, beer, bike among missing items
Several items were stolen in the city, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
A blue sleeper sofa valued at $800, two crystal lamps valued at $100 each and three end tables valued at $100 each were reported stolen from a home in the 700 block of First North Street at 3:15 p.m. Friday.
Three cases of Bud Light beer valued at $14.92 each and six cases of Arizona tea valued at $16.95 each were reported stolen from South Street Shopette, 1318 South St., at 6:55 a.m. Saturday.
A 50cc dirt bike valued at $600 was reported stolen from a home in the 1500 block of Rose Down Street at 11:50 a.m. Saturday.
A GE refrigerator valued at $400 and a GE flat top stove valued at $300 were reported stolen from a home in the 200 block of Hillside Drive at 12:57 Saturday afternoon.
A purse and contents valued at $50 were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1700 block of North Frontage Road at 12:34 Saturday afternoon.
Six cellular phones valued at $60 each were reported stolen from Dollar General Store, 2203 Clay St., at 8:28 a.m. Sunday.
Motorcycle missing on Baptist Drive
In the county, a motorcycle was reported stolen, Warren County records showed.
A 2009 Harley-Davidson FXD Superglide motorcycle valued at $14,300 was reported taken from a church parking lot in the 90 block of Baptist Drive at 9:08 a.m. Sunday.
Louisiana man injured in wreck
A Louisiana man was injured in one-car rollover on Interstate 20 East outside of Vicksburg at 10:57 a.m. Saturday.
Kenneth Seal, 27, 1508 Dauphine Drive, Ruston, was taken to River Region Medical Center where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
