Vicksburg police and fire departments responded to a three-car inferno in the 1900 block of Grove Street at 12:51 this morning.

A 1996 Dodge Intrepid and a 1996 Nissan Sentra received minor damage to the outside of the vehicles. A 1996 Dodge Intrepid received heavy damage to the front and interior from the blazes, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

“Someone possibly threw something flammable on the cars and lit them on fire,” he said.

Firemen found the cars parked on the street near some apartments, fire investigator Leslie Decareaux said.

“The fires were determined not to be accidental,” she said.
