Services for Ernest Cooper will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dexter Jones officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3 until 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cooper died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at Promise Specialty Hospital. He was 78.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one daughter, Marie Cooper of Jackson; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including Nina Hardin and members of the Carson, Barnes and Young families.
