Purse, lawn mower missing in county

In Warren County, a personal watercraft and a lawn mower were among items reported stolen Thursday, records showed.

A 1997 Yamaha 1200 R/W individual watercraft valued at $6,000 was reported missing from a driveway in the 40 block of Rawhide Road at 3:32 p.m.

A 62-inch John Deere lawn mower valued at $15,000 was reported stolen from a lot in the 1300 block of Armory Road at 2:17 p.m.

A purse containing credit and debit cards was reported stolen from a 2005 Dodge Caravan SE in a church parking lot at South and Monroe streets at 10:22 a.m.

Five packages of meat, a quart of ice cream and three packages of vegetables valued at $100 and $80 in cash were reported stolen from a home in the 300 block Galey Road at 12:37 Thursday afternoon.

An attempted burglary of a 1988 Ford pickup at B&L Meat Processing, 73 Standard Hill Road, was reported at 5:38 p.m.

One held for drugs, one for violence

Two Vicksburg men were arrested in their homes and taken to Issaquena County jail Thursday night on separate charges.

William D. Smith, 34, 2711 Jeanette St., was charged with one count of the sale of cocaine at 9:20 p.m., police Sgt. Douglas King said.

Smith was picked up by police after an investigation and was being held on a $20,000 bond, police Sgt. Sandra Williams said

Marrio Culbert, 26, 171 Elizabeth Circle, was arrested at about 2 p.m. for third offense of domestic violence, which is a felony, King said.

The victim suffered minor injuries during the dispute and did not require medical attention, King said. He was being held on $20,000 bond.

City man jailed for drug court

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail today for drug court violation, records showed.

Michael Conn, 52, 115 B. Blackwell Drive, was being held without bond.

Weed trimmer, gun missing in Vicksburg

A weed trimmer and a shotgun were among items reported missing in Vicksburg, police Sgt. Douglas King said.

A Poulan Pro weed trimmer valued at $100 was reported stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Indiana Avenue at 9:02 a.m. Thursday.

A 10-gauge shotgun valued at $500, a wallet and a briefcase was reported stolen from a 1973 Ford pickup in the 1400 block of Maxwell Street at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday.
