Mr. Glanzer, Miss Franco recite vows July 25

Michael David Glanzer and Casey Marea Franco were married at 7:30 p.m. July 25, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick Joseph Curley officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Samuel and Sheila Franco of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Violet Inez Franco and the late Raphael A. Franco Sr. and the late Robert L. Everett Jr., all of Vicksburg, and Mr. and Mrs. James W. Hearn of Mountain View, Ark.

The groom is the son of David William Glanzer of Opelika, Ala., and Judith Coppage Glanzer of Montgomery, Ala. He is the grandson of Dorothy Budd Glanzer of Opelika and the late Clarence John Glanzer of Houston, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Washington Coppage of Adel, Ga.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Flowers were placed in memory of deceased grandparents of the couple.

A program of nuptial music was provided by Dr. Gerald Rankin, first violin; Ruth Anne Schnell, second violin; Lee Jackson, cellist; Adam Arredondo, trumpeter; Karen Harrison, organist; Riley Harper, soloist; and William McHan, cantor.

Maid of honor was Carmen Dyan Keys of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Jessica Frances Olewnik and Mary Elizabeth Taylor, both of Hartford, Conn.; Ashley Buffington Bond of Nashville, Tenn.; Jessica Coffing Smith of Biloxi; and Kelly Williams Waite of Costa Mesa, Calif.

Junior bridesmaids were Ainslie Miele Stuckey and Calli Noelle Stuckey, both of Oxford.

The groom’s father served as David William Glanzer. Groomsmen were Arthur Joshua Matthews and Anthony Lee Raycraft, both of Birmingham, Ala.; Jonathan Kaz Espy of Dothan, Ala.; William Martin Espy of Montgomery; Arthur Freeman Fite of Anniston, Ala.; Robert Lee Franco of Richmond, Va.; Ryan William Glanzer of Washington, D.C.; and Zachary Blanchard Warnke of Atlanta, Ga.

Flower girl was Mallie Scot Mims, niece of the groom, of Montgomery. Ring bearer was Mason Guy Mims, nephew of the groom, of Montgomery.

Special wedding assistant was Mrs. William David Riddle of Vicksburg.

A reception followed the ceremony at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club. Guests were entertained with music by Meet the Press.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Aruba. They will make their home in Savannah, Ga., where the bride is employed at Eli Lilly and Co. and the groom is employed at Maxim Health Care Services.

Bridesmaids’ brunch

On the morning of the wedding, the bride and her attendants were honored with a bridesmaids’ brunch at Anchuca Historic Mansion & Inn hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John J. Franco Jr. of San Antonio, Texas.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Anchuca Historic Mansion & Inn for the wedding party and families.

Weekend getaways

The bride and her bridesmaids gathered for a weekend bachelorette party in New York City.

The groom and his groomsmen enjoyed a weekend in Destin, Fla.

Showers

The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower at the home of Terry Holman. Co-host was Nina McBee.

The bride was honored with a champagne brunch and bridal shower at Belle of the Bends. Hostesses were Deborah Clanton, Patty Henry, Jane Flowers and Christin Matthews.

The bridal couple was honored with a Mexican-themed miscellaneous shower at the home of Rodgers and Veronica Coffing. Co-hosts were Jessica Coffing Smith, Jennifer Kornfuhrer and Joe and Janice Coccaro.
