Loyd Hattaway

Loyd Hattaway died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 78.

Born in Louisiana, Mr. Hattaway had been a Vicksburg resident since 1960. He retired from Fordice Construction after 57 years of service, working as mat field superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lillie Ray Hattaway; five brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy H. Hattaway of Vicksburg; one son, Alan Lloyd Hattaway and wife Darlene of Vicksburg; one daughter, LaNita Cleveland and husband Wayne of Epps, La.; one sister, Betty Newman of Tallulah; and a grandson, Mark Cleveland and wife Kristine of Epps.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Lee Savage officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Dan Fordice, Hunter Fordice, Thomas Sanderford, Bruce Odom, Troy Goss and Mike Jackson.
