School books, 4-wheeler missing

Lawn equipment and school books were among items reported stolen in Vicksburg Wednesday, police Sgt. Randy Blake said.

A Snapper lawn mower valued at $2,700 was reported missing from a home in the 100 block of Ross Lane at 4:54 p.m.

A Baby Phat bookbag valued at $80, a Coach purse valued at $400, a voice recorder valued at $100, a Cannon camera, school books and $75 were reported stolen from a Honda Accord in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Fayette Street at 9:06 p.m.

In Warren County, a 4-wheeled Yamaha Big Bear all-terrain vehicle valued at $3,500 and a trailer, tag number J97-48P, valued at $780 were reported stolen from a home in the 5200 block of Warriors Trail at 12:21 p.m. Wednesday.

Edwards man jailed for probation violation

An Edwards man was in the Warren County Jail today for probation violation, records showed.

Joe Mack, 25, 1063 Jones Road, was being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.
